Hospice Wairarapa Community Trust

Our hospice is owned by the people of Wairarapa, for the people of Wairarapa. We are an independent organisation and a member of Hospice New Zealand.

Hospice Wairarapa was formed as a registered charitable trust (CC41499) in 2009 and is an Inland Revenue-approved donee organisation. We are governed on behalf of the people of Wairarapa by a group of experienced and community-minded people who are elected to the Hospice Wairarapa Board of Trustees.

The trustees ensure that the Hospice is effectively managed, properly governed, and sustainable both financially and operationally. All financial reporting and statutory compliance are confirmed by independent audit.

Hospice Wairarapa is currently looking for new Trustees.  This could be your opportunity to have a significant impact on how palliative care services are delivered right across the Wairarapa region. If you’re ready for a challenge and can navigate through complex issues and periods of change, with a commitment to equity and inclusion then we would like to hear from you.

You can find out more information about the role and the application process here.
